TWO O'CLOCK ROCKS!

Mondays - Fridays this Summer: June - August 2024 | 2:00pm - 3:00pm 

 

Join us weekdays at Hands On! Children's Museum this Summer season for TWO O'CLOCK ROCKS! Each day will feature  FUN and EXCITING Science and/or Art activities for museum guests of all ages at 2:00pm. This event is FREE with admisssion and advanced registration is not required. 

Donuts with Dad! 

June 15,  2024 | 9:30am - 11:00am 

 

Join us for this drop-in event from 9:30 - 11:00 am on Saturday June 15th to celebrate the special father figure in your life! Donuts and juice will be available along with some fun activities to enjoy together. This event is FREE with admission and will take place in within the People's Museum space. Advanced registration is not required. 

Juneteenth Freedom Celebration!  

June 15,  2024 | 9:30am - 11:00am 

 

Join us at Hands On! as we celebrate Juneteenth with special guest and local Henderson County artist, Diamond Cash! Some of Diamond's beautiful work can currently be viewed inside the People's Museum, located at Hands On! Children's Museum! Don't miss this opportunity to celebrate Juneteenth and to work with a renowned artist on cool crafts, while learning about the history and signifiance of Juneteenth! The Juneteenth Freedom Celebration will take palce within the People's Museum and Walk of Frame, and is FREE to the public. Advanced registration is not required. 

Collaborative Cardboard Art: American Landmarks Project

June 29,  2024 | 10am - 4pm

 

Joins us for the beginning of "Freedom Week" here at Hands On! Children's Museum. Cardboard artist Erika Pyle will be here throughout the day constructing various American Landmarks from cardboard! The Washington Monument, the Statue of Liberty and the Wright Brother's Plane are among the Landmarks that will be coming to life here in our Star Theatre!

 

Come join in the construction process and learn a few fun facts about some of the most recognizable symbols of Americana as we approach one of our favorite Summer holidays, Independence Day! Kid friendly cardboard construction tools will be available for kids to use while learning and constructing. The finished projects will be on display throughout the Fourth of July Holiday week and beyond. Kids will have the opportunity to create a cardboard "take home" piece! This event is FREE with admission and advanced registation is not required.
