Facts About Hands On!
Hands On! incorporated in 2004 as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and opened its doors to the public in 2007.
40% of operating costs come from admissions and program fees, and the remaining 60% must come from donations and grants.
Hands On! provides FREE ADMISSION to thousands of low-income children throught Western NC.
Hands ON! provides FREE FIELD TRIPS to Title 1 Elementary Schools in Western NC.
Over 60,000 children and families visit the museum each year!
Many of the museum's exhinits and STEAM programs complement the NC Standard Course of Study and NC PreK Learning Standards.
