Royalty filled Hands On! A Child’s Gallery in Hendersonville Tuesday, as a dozen children dressed up as princesses and princes to learn about manners.

The children spent the afternoon making crowns, going on a “royal parade” around the museum and enjoying snacks.

During each portion of the afternoon, educators Kay Campbell and Judi Donofrio would turn the lesson toward manners.

The importance of being kind, cleaning up after yourself and saying please and thank you were some of the focal points of the tea party.

The program is hosted multiple times throughout the years at Hands On! Executive Director Heather Boeke said the event is usually a favorite among the community.

The event was open to the public, and geared toward children ages 3 to 6.

The children’s museum is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, and is located at 318 N. Main St.
